Please find below a bilingual version of the Japanese Acknowledgement of country for the Kaurna people. There is a written text and a recording.
The Japanese text is not a direct translation of the commonly used English acknowledgement but has been written by committee members to reflect the spirit of mutual respect and desire for harmony within our multicultural society that the English text embodies.
We have had guidance from DECD personnel regarding the appropriateness of using a Japanese text and we provide this resource for JLTASA members with the very best intentions.
It would be appreciated if the JLTASA is also acknowledged when using the text.
